THE INFLATABLE SKYLINE

Client/Partner: III Points
Year: 2022
Location: Miami
A large-scale inflatable cityscape reflecting on the spectacle of Miami’s rapid transformation — a place inflated by desire, speculation, and ego. The work examines how progress becomes performance, how cities grow not from necessity but from ambition and illusion. A skyline made of air, fragile yet monumental, exposing the tension between surface and substance. Each structure stands up to 300 feet tall, powered by independent fans and resting on a 1,200-square-foot platform. Built from recyclable PET fabric and printed with bio-based ink in collaboration with a hot-air balloon manufacturer in Colombia.
